Handbells - 19

19th March 2005. Practice session in progress, using the Alpha notation method. We may look miserable, but we are not really! We are just concentrating - very hard!

Stanwick Handbell Ringers currently has 14 members who meet on a weekly basis to practice the ancient art of Handbell Ringing

We are currently in the process of changing our method of playing. We previously used the Alpha notation method, but now we have a full 3-octave of bells, we decided it would be better to play from staff notation, and we have been practicing hard. It has been very hard work, and a real learning curve for most of us, but we firmly believe it will be worth it in the end!

We enjoy taking part in local activities throughout the year, playing for groups and organisations, fundraising events, at Residential and Retirement Homes, and even Weddings!
