A selection of photographs taken when a few of our members travelled to Whitechapel Bell Foundry in London on 18th March 2009 to collect the 7 new bells that had been made especially for us. This was only made possible by the generous Community Grant we had received from the Midlands Co-operative Society.

One of the highlights of the day was when our members met the person who had personally made each and every one of the bells we possess! What an honour! There was also a frightening lesson to be learned! We are always being warned that we must not, under any circumstances, allow one bell to knock against another. This is what happens if you do ........ thank goodness this wasn't one of our bells ..... a very expensive mistake to make!

An expensive mistake

Ouch ............!!! A lesson well learned ..... !
