Wednesday, 3rd January 2007
On the evening of Wednesday, 3rd January 2007 eleven of our members could be found at the Saxon Hall, Raunds, giving a performance for the Raunds Ladies Group.
A variety of music, including a couple of our Christmas concert pieces, were played and, as is the norm, partway through the performance, the Ladies were given the opportunity to try their hand at bell ringing by playing some simple tunes, under the guidance of the handbell ringers and their musical director, Sam Chambers.
Although some of the ladies were a little shy at first, they soon gained their confidence and, as is always the case, really enjoyed the experience.
(I wonder if any of them will, in the future, decide to join our friendly little group?)
